concord is 50 degrees right now. oakland, 53. santa rosa, 45. the bone-chilling temperatures we had earlier in the week will not return anytime soon, because the source of the next storm comes from more of a southerly location. that's a warmer direction. but it also has a potential to pack more moisture. here's what we expect. showers will end briefly tonight. more rain will spread south very early tomorrow. probably around 3 a.m., that next storm comes ashore. then storms and gusty winds are possible with with this next one. so just like this morning, a thunderstorm would not be a surprise. we'll go to hi-def doppler and take it up to the north bay. you can see those widely scattered showers right around 80. you go down the 680 corridor, not much. down in the south bay, the showers are spreading south to morgan hill. up around the city, pretty much high and dry. south of oakland, alameda, a few showers. widely scattered showers for now. not for long. low pressure is ushering in the next wave of rain. you can see it right off of san francisco. t

concord, 46. seems to be that we are getting back to regular december programming quickly. it is long and chilly nights. take a look at the rainfall in san francisco. more than four inches over the past five days, specifically, 4.5 inches. more than we see for the entire month of december. we had over the past 5 days. that is a lot of water in a short amount of time. nothing falling from the sky tonight. we are showing dry conditions all of the way up to the california, oregon boarder and we will watch that general area for another chance of rainfall come wednesday. for tonight, early tomorrow. livermore, 45. mountain view, 40. the past couple of nights. mild. there is another storm out there. it is not going to be as tropical of a connection so we will not have as much water but the bigger thing is. notice the clouds not moving towards us. getting kicked up to the north there say reason for that kick. the kicker is a big area of high pressure that is beginning to build in just close enough to take most of the storm's energy and kick it up to the north by a couple hundred m

right now in concord, 48 degrees, oakland, 52, livermore, 48 degrees, sfo, 52 degrees, san jose 49, santa rosa 53. the showers do end, we will dry out tomorrow but it looks as if we will get wet on christmas. and because of all of the moisture in the atmosphere tonight and because of the clearing skies, patchy dense fog could really be a problem tomorrow. so, out the door, look for patchy fog along the coast. fog around the bay and inland as well. the numbers a little chillier than we are used to. numbers at 9:00 in the lower 50s. here is what happened. the low pressure that was in the northern part of the coast moving south. as it did, one main front, a secondary front that pushed in. some of the showers and the thundershowers late in the day. the sun will come out tomorrow. we will get more clearing, we will get drying before this moves in. the next system that is right on the heels of the low pressure that moved through today. it will be giving us some rain on christmas day. not nearly as much as we had over the past 24 hours. winter storm warnings from the residue of the storm that is
